We’re thrilled to officially announce a renewed partnership with Zanele Mutepfa-Rhone of Brand Zanele, a decorated culture and diversity strategist.

Zanele began working with our organization in 2020 when Arete Living and Avamere communities were part of the Avamere Family of Companies. Now under the rebrand to Arete Living, we’re excited to welcome Zanele back as we continually expand our work in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).

“I believe, above all, people are the heart of the company," Zanele shared. "Therefore, it’s imperative to create 'people first' strategies that ensure all diverse voices are heard and needs are met. That's why I couldn't be more excited to partner with the people of Arete Living, to foster a culture of belonging for all."

About Zanele

A Zimbabwean-born immigrant and graduate of Portland State University, Zanele Mutepfa-Rhone is a culture and diversity strategist, speaker, activist, and philanthropist. Inspired by a lineage of Zimbabwean women leaders in her family, Zanele is the founder of a Here to Stay, a women’s speaker series celebrating the stories of change-making women in the world.

Her inspiring work includes building global curriculum at Sesame Street, assisting in the creation of the first women’s marketing business for Adidas North America, and contributing to notable brand strategies like Nike’s Until We All Win campaign.

Based in Portland, Oregon, Zanele spends her time fully immersed in her passion for building community, creating opportunities for talented minorities, and cultivating signature concepts for her consulting projects.
