Life Enhanced Spotlight: Mikella Cousins

November’s Life Enhanced Spotlight is Mikella Cousins, Business Office Manager with Avamere at Cascadia Village in Sandy, Oregon!

Mikella has worked with Avamere almost a year. What gets him excited to show up every day is knowing he can change the lives of residents and their loved ones, as well as staff and their loved ones.

Mikella loves to travel with his family. He's an avid outdoorsman who enjoys shooting, off-roading, hiking, and rock climbing. He's also an active intellectual as he enjoys reading, writing, studying and learning. A complete family man, as he calls himself!

Mikella has three children, 22, 18, and 7, as well as two dogs and reptiles (mainly lizards). Mikella is a paramedic/firefighter from Bellevue, Washington and currently resides in Port Townsend, Washington, which he describes as a "true coastal village gem."

Mikella was nominated by Jessica Clemence, Director of Sales and Outreach, Avamere at Cascadia Village. Here’s what she says about her compassionate teammate:

“Mikella is moving his family from Port Townsend, Washington to Sandy, Oregon WA to be our Business Office Manager (BOM). He is currently traveling home to Port Townsend on the weekends and is staying in our model room. He started in reception at Port Townsend and helped their community with BOM stuff while their BOM was on maternity leave. Mikella hit the ground running at Avamere at Cascadia Village and has been a blessing to me and our community. I think he will be with the Avamere family for the long run.”
