Life Enhanced Spotlight: Carey Dienhart & Livia Thompson

This month we have TWO employees featured in our Life Enhanced Spotlight!

Carey and Livia both earned awards from the Oregon Health Care Association this year and were recognized at the annual awards show. Carey earned the Enrichment of Life Award and Livia earned the Special Service Award.

Carey was nominated by Nicole Budden, Director of Sales & Outreach with The Stafford.

“It’s the details with Carey that she goes above and beyond with.” Nicole shared. “She truly cares about every individual here.”

Carey was awarded for her thoughtful celebrations and activities, and for constantly going above and beyond to enhance her residents’ lives.

“Residents think about things from their childhood that they still remember,” Carey shared. “So I want that to continue here – to keep remembering wonderful times.”

Livia was personally selected for the Special Service Award by OHCA employees.

“Over the last 5 years, Livia has been instrumental in the development of OHCA educational content for life enrichment and activity professionals,” stated Melodie King, Director of Education with OHCA. “She has a passion for life enrichment and for ensuring residents have a high quality of life and never hesitates to provide suggestions, deliver presentations, and time to making sure the content we provide is top notch.”

Livia co-led the virtual roundtable conversations with the OHCA, together sharing expertise and mentoring fellow life enrichment directors across Oregon.

“It’s truly a blessing to be acknowledged,” Livia shared. “It just makes me want to be better and work harder.”
