The 3 Pillar Initiatives

People: Develop memory care experts within our organization by following best practices in dementia care and ensuring frontline teams have the training they need to succeed

Quality: Prioritize innovation and new ideas to improve quality outcomes through enhanced person-centered care, leading in quality care metrics, and enhancing survey outcomes

Engagement: Foster meaningful connections by engaging residents, families, and the community through education, events, and holistic activity programming

Committee Expectations

• Collaborate and execute a strategic plan to achieve pillar initiatives

• Monthly meeting with fellow committee members

• Prepare and present quarterly to the council to gain approval on pillar initiatives

• Lead annual summit in person

• Become champions in Dementia Live and Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care training

• Represent the organization by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence

Committee members should expect to devote about 2-5 hours a month, with the possibility of more during the height of projects.
